Love's 11 Wyze Ways to Change Your Perception

When we get stuck in old patterns we often wonder why nothing ever changes. If you want something different then you must do something different. You must change your perception, your beliefs, and the way you see the world and how you see yourself in it.

Foggy perception

Here is a list of my favorite videos, channels, books, people, and websites to support you in getting started with changing your perception and outlook on life.

1. My overall favorite video to kickstart you on the road to a new awareness is Dr. Joe Dispenza's Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself

Then, he goes on to actually tell you how you can reprogram your brain.

2. There's another guy by the name of Dr. Bruce Lipton who is also sharing how to reprogram your brain. It's a similar message as Dispenza but with a unique approach.

3. Many people are very confused about what love is and the function of the heart. There is fascinating new science exploding new information about the power of the heart. The HeartMath Institute (HMI) is a non-profit research organization that dives deep into the heart's magic and explores how it affects us both emotionally and physically. When I encounter a client who seems lost in their head and overthinking everything this is good wisdom to bring them back to equilibrium.

Below is one of their earliest videos to help you get started with the most basic information about their project.

If you want to evolve then you need to think differently and commit to change your perception.

The reason you think the way you do is you have been programmed and indoctrinated since you came into existence by the world around you.

Some of my favorite subtle perception changers are:

4. Affirmations: My personal favorite way to reprogram my thoughts is by using affirmations that fit my specific need. There are all kinds of recorded affirmations. Shop around for your favorites. My rule is to keep listening, over and over, until you start to catch yourself repeating them in your mind. Now, you know you are on the right track. Of course, youTube has a plethora of free options.

5. Binaural Beats works by sending vibrations that travel into the ear and get converted into electrical signals that can shift our perception of the world and ourselve as well as leading to emotional responses and positive changes in our well-being. My personal favorite time to use this form of healing is while I am sleeping. When you reach the REM phase is when the vibrations can get in to do the deepest work.

6. Meditational Music can replace loud, intense and emotionally invasive music and unloving lyrics. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy hard rock and intense dance music as much as anyone but those sounds do not support emotional wellbeing and healing. Here are a few to get you started...

7. Gratitude Journaling is a form of mindfulness practice, that involves being present in the moment while focusing on the things you're grateful for rather than dwelling on the negative. This shift in focus supports the development of a more positive outlook which increases your overall sense of happiness and well-being.

8. Creating an altar supports your self-healing journey by building a safe and sacred space where you can reflect, set intentions, and connect with your higher power. When you bring in meaningful symbols, objects, and perform rituals using your altar, it becomes a sort of anchor that reminds you to make your healing and spiritual practices a top priority. It's your own sacred space for grounding and getting recentered.

9. Psychedelics are changing the way we treat trauma. Substances like psilocybin mushrooms, also known as MDMA, ayahuasca, or LSD support healing from emotional baggage due to past traumas. The experience can help you safely reflect on the incidents and process them in a new way. Professionally guided therapy has shown promise in reducing symptoms of PTSD and other trauma-related disorders.

Personally, when I have used psychedelics with intention and responsibly I have experienced truly amazing results. I recommend this kind of treatment to those who feel stuck and really want something intense and catalytic. Please do not disrespect the medicine and use psychedelics for recreation. Right now is so exciting as the research on these natural chemicals is truly exploding.

10. Reading or listening to books is a great way to get new information essential for upgrading your perception. There's a massive amount of books available since there is new information coming out every day. I am only going to list a few that I have personal experience with:

Childhood Disrupted by Donna Jackson Nakazawa This favorite book dives deep into the long-term effects of childhood trauma on your physical and mental health. It gives accounts of groundbreaking science which reveal the harsh realities of a disrupted childhood, leaving readers with a profound sense of compassion and understanding for themselves and an action plan for healing.

The Dance of Anger by Harriet Lerner This classic book focuses on the specific challenges that women face in dealing with their anger and the relationships that trigger them. I love how she offers practical advice on how to communicate effectively, set boundaries, and make positive changes in all your relationships. The triangle relationships that she outlines were my biggest takeaway.

Mastering Narcissism: 6 books in 1 by: Everything Needed to Know about Personality Disorder and Narcissistic Abuse. How to Deal with Narcissists & Immature Parents. Rebuilding Self-Esteem, Cecilia Overt (Author) This author knows everything about narcissism or at least it appears that way. She has written many books on the topic from a variety of different angles. Pretty much anyone who has victimized you is likely a narcissist therefore it is important that you learn everything you can about it on your road to recovery.

Complex PTSD by Keith Walker If you ever spent a time period of your life, especially your childhood living in fear with no recourse then you are likely a candidate for this book. Once I read the list of symptoms included in this book I went into a deep shift lasting several months. I came out of it with the peace I have always sought.

The Fear Cure by Lissa Rankin M.D. I love how Lissa draws on her personal experiences as well as relevant scientific research. Her fresh holistic approach to overcoming fear and anxiety really spoke to me during my journey of learning new mind-body techniques such as mindfulness, self-compassion, and intuition, in addition to a willingness to embrace uncertainty and vulnerability.

The Power of Now by Eckert Tolle In my experience, most people who pick up this book can't put it down. This illuminating, and life-changing book offers a fresh yet ancient perspective on life. If you're ready for a profound understanding of the present moment and the power that lies within it then this book will inspire you to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

The Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson, and Tony Robbins. I found this book to be an empowering and enlightening resource for me while seeking to improve my emotional responses to life. For me, it was a powerful, innovative, and life-changing book that provided an insightful guide to understanding and beginning to release my trapped emotions, It is kind of like a toolkit for achieving emotional freedom, healing, and growth.

How to Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan I saw a guy in the airport reading this and it caught my interest. I quickly learned that this book talks about the history, science, and potential benefits of psychedelic drugs such as LSD, psilocybin, and DMT. He talks about his personal experiences with psychedelics as well as interviews with scientists, therapists, and other professionals who are studying the therapeutic uses of psychedelics to treat mental health disorders. There's also a documentary under the same name that you can catch on Netflix. Here's a link to the Trailer.

Modern Magick: Twelve Lessons in the High Magickal Arts by Donald Michael Kraig. is a comprehensive guide to the theory and practice of ceremonial magic. Drawing on the traditions of Hermeticism, Kabbalah, and alchemy, I really like his practical instructions for performing rituals and spells, as well as guidance on developing psychic abilities and cultivating a spiritual practice that can lead to personal transformation. I have been known to recommend this book when I feel my client seeks, ritual, structure, and discipline with a spiritual component.

11. A mentor can be super helpful 'because they've got experience and wisdom that you can draw upon to guide you through tough decisions, and change how you see things. Their words and living example offers validation, along with new information, and provides guidance on healthy coping mechanisms and behaviors.

My family background is Amish therefore I am very white. I just wanted to say that first. Now I want to tell you I really love to listen to Billy Carson and watch his videos. His story of survival and evolution is very impressive. With that said I have referred many of my African American brothers whom I have worked with and given readings to check out Mr. Carson as he is an amazing role model and mentor. I definitely have a mind-crush on this guy.

Here's one of my favorite videos of his to get you started. Enjoy!

Of course, there are a gazillion more things I could put on this blog. However, I feel like these are all good starters. The important thing to consider is that it is necessary to make changing your perception a high priority in your life as well as utilizing a variety of methods at the same time. Choose several from the list and get committed to changing your perception.
