Love's Tarot Journal Entry:

More than anyone else, our families trigger us. They are The Devil XV in our lives. I know mine sure is. It is not unusual for me to refer to my father as an evil monster or a Devil. Our families can make us or break us. If I think I am emotionally healed and am no longer being triggered then I just need to spend some time with my family. They will set me straight and remind me of who they have decided I am. They poke and gaslight me until they have provoked the Devil out of me. "look at her! She's crazy! She's the problem. The rest of us are great people and make a happy family." In my heart, I am a kind, caring, loving, and compassionate person. However, over time, over many years I have become hardened. My heart is still full of love but I keep it locked away inside me. When I freely let it out I have found that I give it to the wrong people and therefore I do not trust myself so much. I get angry because I cannot connect with people and I get triggered when people tell me who I am, what I am thinking, and feeling, and what my intentions are. Since I was a little girl I have been trying to be seen, to be heard, to be validated, to be treated like I matter. In my pursuit to awaken love in my family, I find only Devils who will go to great lengths to gaslight the devil in me.
