Today's Journal Entry:
Going back to college at the age of 39 was such a great idea and was so much fun. After being a full-time, stay-at-home, homeschooling mom for several years it felt really good to exercise the other parts of my brain and do something that challenged me intellectually. I had always wanted to study Anthropology but my parents would not support me, saying I would never find a job as an anthropologist. But, this desire never left me. Following my passion was more important than finding a job. I trusted that the Universe would not put a passion in me just to make me suffer. Our passions are our way to know what path God has given us. I graduated with my degree and two minors in 2012 after almost 10 years of going to school. Honestly, I never wanted to graduate because I loved the University life of structure, new friends and just being in the educational environment.
